Tharmen's stone

I wonder why I be so lazy in commenting/putting up new works these days? *laziness*

For quite some while I had wanted to make paintings of the alchemists with their philosopher's stones. Afterall, it seemed unfair, with Lul and Luc having such a huuuge painting dedicated to the making of theirs. And so, this popped up! Tharmen's stone! The huge crystal is his source of great powers and immortality.

Random info/story of the stone: Sir Tharmen was a reknowned naturalist in the service of the Harmonian clergy, famed for venturing far and wide into unknown lands (laughing in the face of great dangers all the while, like a true madman), in search of the the most rare and exotic flora and fauna. Yet the true drive behind his search was his quest to find the Spring of Eternal Youth, said to grant to finder immortality. It was finally in his 85th year, on one stormy winter's day, as he blindly rounded a bend on the treacherous Basonian mountains, that he lost his footing and plummeted (plopped!) straight down into the Spring of his desire. Upon his revival, by the valiant efforts of the nearby fairies (whom he had nearly frightened to death with his sudden drop), he espied the great crystal. Following days of poking, prodding, and great examination of the crystal, he made off like a thief and carted it (and the fairies too! D: ) back home and has ever since been its possesor. End of the oh so dramatic story! XD

Tharmen's stone is also known as the 'Sun Stone', having great nurturing/growing/healing values.

(Tharmen is 380 years old now! )
