I've kind of realized... I get very bored with paintings that don't include people/things/stuffs I'm intrested... ^^; (and sooooo.... tiny kid ended up as Aimon! X'D)

Medium: Watercolor and Gouache on wasli
Time: 5 days?

One of the three ugly paintings made for a recent exhibition. Meh.... they're so ugly I'm not even going to show the rest. -.-' (and the only reason I'm putting this here is that I want opinions!) Somehow, I find it to be very untidy?

*doesn't feel like adding loooong boring explaination - decide on your own what it is?*

[*if however an explaination is really needed...* Little Aimon was afraid of biiiiig biiiiig statues when she was small. And when she dies, she too would join these ugly bearded men! XD]

I would really, really love to know your opinions and any suggestions on what to improve. (As with all meh miniature paintings, the lighting is not meant to be realistic - though in this case, it's mainly because I feel very lazy! ^^;)

I hope someone buys this and takes this monstrosity off meh head...

AWesome pic! I really like the way you did the rocks and the shadow of the girl and little creature standing beside her. Whats the difference between Gouache and watercolors? I've notice a lot of people use gouache and watercolors together.

If I had the money to do so, I -would- buy this off of you. :3 Even if you personally don't like it, there's something about this that I absolutely love.

By the way, when she dies, how does Aimon join the statues? I'm curious. xD

So what?
Think of it this way. Now it's in two pieces, and two pieces are better than none. Plus there's double the love for your next admirer. Now go get 'em.

Thank you! ^__^

All the statues are of dead kings and reknowned generals. Since Aimon too grows up to be one of the most powerful rulers, she basically got her own statue after her death. (And sooooo... scary Aimon statue terrorized future kiddies! XD)

:O Thank you! :D

Gouache is thick and opaque, while watercolors are more transparent and fluid. Basically I've noticed, gouache is so thick and gooey that you can't really get the soft blending that you can get with watercolors? But they're brighter, and if you use with watercolors, they really stand/shine out. (Soooo... good for different textures and variations?)
