Description

The last of the set, Veniti, the god of wind, and later on known as the god of machines.

Time: 2 days (broke all records! *shock!*
Medium: Gouache on Wasli

Okie so the last one was supposed to be on fire, Ignir, but meh Veniti poked his was onto meh wasli. ^^; Wind innate charries are very pushy!

Veniti, Tir's younger brother, and known as the god of wind, was the only one of the 6 (or seven, counting the ultimate element music). Though he was as knowlegdable in the secrets of the heavens as Tir, in some cases even surpassing him, he never used it, and so never was counted amongst the wisest. Rather, he was treated as a misfit, because of his open distaste of the creation of Spirits. He was amongst those who believed that one must not meddle in God's works. When later in the age the temple of the One God was brought down (religious-political reasons / wars with Basonia), he left the citadels in Seul Noftra and lived as a recluse in the bordering forests. He is one of the only two gods that died.

Veniti's intrests lay rather in machinery (earning more the disapproval of the other 30 - destruction of the land they loved and sought to protect) and he came up with the design of the first airship.

Soooo... basically, he never made any spirits (and so, the wind elemental spirits that exist today are not descendents of his creations. He did make one thing human though...)

(The random silly story that no one wants to know! XD : Veniti, who loved to come up with all things new, once did design a girl. After Quintessence was born and she was hailed as the perfect being on earth, he started to get ideas, and just for his amusement, he came up with a plan of a girl just like Quintessence, but even greater, even wiser, but ofcourse, mortal. He never planned to do anything about it though, until one day Ignir caught sight of the papers and convinced Veniti to give them to him - 'the sin would be his', he declared, and Veniti could even see one of his dreams in reality. Atlast Veniti consented.

And so, in his forges, Ignir began the construction of the girl, 'Io' (*Discworld-ness! ahem*). But when the time came and the spirit emerged forth from the fire, to the horror of both Veniti and Ignir, she was not at all like what they had expected. Blind and mute, without any arms, this creation weilded enough power to rival Ulkar, power untamed and wild. But while Ignir was revolted by the mere sight, Veniti took pity at the creature and took her with him.

Veniti gave her arms of metal and took care of her. In return, she aided him in his works, and created things that the gods could never have imagined; for she could only communicate with him through her thoughts. Veniti and Ignir had ended up creating the last, 32nd goddess, the godess of creation. With time, Veniti truly began to care for Io, and not just out of pity, and wanted to strengthen the bond between them. And so he began his works upon the Islar - the cresents that bonded humans and spirits wear on their foreheads today. But before he could complete it, the other 30, who had frowned upon Io's creation from the start, came to a decision she was a danger to the world and had her executed.)

End of loooong story. Sorry!

Anyways, that little invisible spirit in front of him is Io.

Em... even though I spent the least time and effort on this, I think I like this the best. Or maybe I just like blue... ^^;

(random note 4: Veniti's no-spell circle says 'what was ready is lost by the sins of the wicked')
